Application
The natural warmth and ambiance of wood veneer folding partitions
makes them especially suited to prestige offices, clubs and community
centres, and doctors' surgeries.
There are three types of timber partition available - the 'Original',
the 'Crystal' and the 'Acoustic Special'.
All folding partitions have a core of solid fibre board covered
in a choice of twelve wood veneers including oak, beech and ash.
The 'Original' partition has an attractive all-over wood veneer;
the 'Crystal' has translucent or frosted acrylic panels set into
the partition; and the 'Acoustic Special' incorporates a layer of
sound insulating material to achieve a rating of Rw33dB.
Specification
The range of wood finished partitions has been successfully used
in a range of interiors around the UK and recent examples illustrate
their popularity for particular applications.
In the health sector the wood folding partitions have been used
to good effect to provide temporary division between various departments.
This has been the case at several hospitals including the York Health
Services NHS Trust and The Medical Centre in West London, where
oak and beech veneer finishes have been specified. Others have also
chosen the glazed Crystal and Acoustic options.
The wood partitions also have a following amongst golf and country
clubs. For instance, on Anglesey at the Bull Bay Golf Club, and
in Swindon at the Wrag Barn Golf and Country Club. The folding partitions
have been used to separate the restaurant from the bar area, yet
when folded back, providing a completely open function room for
other purposes. Here teak and American white oak finishes have been
used respectively. |
