Little Blossums Nursery
Folding partitions from Building Additions have just been specified to provide a versatile space solution at a brand new children’s nursery in Upton-on-Severn, Worcester.
Little Blossoms nursery, a new build project, stands on a renovated farm site. For the large central area of the building a means of dividing the room into three separate areas for toddlers, babies and sleeping children was required.
Proprietor Jane Clive comments,” Folding partitions were a more versatile solution than walls or fixed partitions as the room could be divided into distinct and private areas but still opened up into one large room when needed for events or activities.”
Assisted by a district development officer, Mrs Clive specified Building Additions' Fabric folding partitions for the project having seen the product used successfully in similar applications. The partitions also met the nursery’s criteria for an easy to operate partition that could suppress noise levels to enable children to sleep without disturbance.
Two Acoustic 200 fabric folding partitions are used, one in red and one in canary yellow to co-ordinate with the bright and colourful interior design scheme.
Delighted with the partitions, Mrs Clive adds, “ The fabric partitions are working extremely well for us. They look great, are not heavy to use and work well at drowning out noise levels so that the separate areas can operate without disturbance from each other.”
Building Additions offer three types of fabric partition: the Soundbuster 300 for maximum soundproofing, the Acoustic 200 for moderate or noisy sound levels and the Standard 100. All the partitions are top hung which means no floor track is needed. The durable PVC coated fabric is available in a range of colours to suit any interior design scheme.
