Building Additions is an established folding partition manufacturer based in Frome, Somerset with a reputation for manufacturing, supplying and installing quality room partitions and movable walls to businesses, educational organisations and homes across the UK.

A long standing history…..

The origins of the company go back to 1896 when Wallington Weston began trading in Frome producing rubber tyres. Marley Tile Company purchased Wallington Weston in 1956 and by the late 1960 the site in Frome employed over 800 people producing the famous Marley Flooring.

The current company was established in 1997 following a Management Buy-out from European Vinyls Corporation (EVC) which had previously acquired part of the Marley Group that had been manufacturing the ‘Marleyfold’ concertina doors since early 1960’s.

An experienced team……

The management buyout was completed by the same management team in place today. Andy Ferris, who was the Financial Accountant since joining EVC in 1994, Tony Regan the Sales Manager and Rachel Priddle who ran the administration side of the operation joined forces and their expertise and knowledge of the industry has seen the business thrive.

The company currently employs 13 people covering the entire process from dealing with initial sales enquiries, through the manufacture of the partitions in the factory to the final installation on site by their highly qualified engineers.

Building Additions were a founder member of The Partition Industry Association that has now evolved into the influential Association of Interior Specialists.

The company holds the ISO9001Quality standard and the ISO14001 Environmental standard and is the only manufacturer remaining in the UK that makes the Fabric Concertina Partition.

In addition they provide a 1 year guarantee on all of their products covering all parts and defects.
